In addition to serving as owner and president of infinicore technologies, Prof. Palmquist is a full professor of structural engineering in the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences at Western Kentucky University and is the Boyce D. Tate Professor in Civil engineering. Prof. Palmquist is a licensed professional engineer in Kentucky and Florida. Prior to becoming a faculty member at WKU, Prof. Palmquist served as a bridge engineer for Linchenstein Consulting Engineers in Natick, Massachusetts. He earned his B.S. degree in civil engineering from the University of New Hampshire, 1995; an M.S. in structural engineering from the University of Rhode Island, 1996, and his Ph.D. in structures/materials engineering from Tufts University, 2003. His research interests include applied mathematics, cable supported structures, and high performance materials used in construction.
Prof. Palmquist resides in beautiful Bowling Green, Kentucky, with his college sweetheart, Kerry, and their four children, Leah, Logan, Landon, and Lily. His hobbies include tennis, kayaking, playing and collecting video games, as well as learning more about the history, philosophy, and art of mathematics and science.
